Grades:
Exams: (2 or 3 per qtr)- 100 points each
Homework/Classwork: 100 points per unit
qtr. or semester project: 200 or 100 points
Exams are given at the end of each unit. They are usually multiple choice and short answer/open response. The final exam is comprehensive.
Classwork is a daily grade. Points will be given for daily work, lab work and watching science videos. Almost everything you do in this class will be graded and counted as classwork.
Grades:

Qtr. or Semester Project: 200 or 100 points
Exams will be given at the end of each unit. They will consist of three parts: The ACT section, the open response section and the multiple choice/teacher selected section. The final exam is comprehensive.
Classwork is a daily grade. Points will be given for daily work, lab work and watching science videos.
*I reserve the right to add Participation points. This could be up to 10 points added to quarter grade. Do not expect any points if you do not pay attention, are tardy, are absent a lot or act up in class.

Personal Information And Family
Mr. Allen was an Army officer in the infantry from 1984-1988
He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas
He has been teaching for 15 years.
In his spare time he likes to read and work on computers.
Mr. Allen has a wife named Marcia Allen. They have been married for 23 years. They have a son named Lance Allen, and he has a solid white cat named princess.
